Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt and contour the body by removing unwanted fat from specific and often localised areas of your body.
It is not a substitute for weight loss but can be effective on those areas that do not respond to diet and exercise. Small incisions are used to insert a cannula to remove the fatty deposits from under the skin.
Small areas can be treated under local anaesthetic but usually general anaesthetic and an overnight stay is required for larger areas.
