Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is surgery to the eye lids and eye bags is a procedure to remove excess skin and reposition fat from the upper or lower parts of the eyelid, giving a refreshed look to the eye area and face.

This can be intricate surgery and can sometimes be used in conjunction with laser re-surfacing.

For lower eyelid fat bag reduction general anaesthetic is required but upper eyelid blepharoplasty is commonly performed under  anaethetic as an out-patient procedure.

“I had very little discomfort. I went back to work 5 days later with some make up on. It’s nice to be able to see the eyelid and much easier to put make-up on now.“
