Mr Oliver was fantastic, realistic in his promises, which resulted in an outcome that far exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the outcome to date. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Nuffield Exeter was "Poor" from the pre op admin to the staff service and abilities post op. Communication was zero between staff. On the whole the individuals were nice people I'm sure but amateur and displayed little understanding of a modern private service that cost the patient £8k for an overnight stay in respects to basic customer service and courtesy. The facilities were basic, not especially clean (photo's available), nothing worked properly from the light fixtures and fittings to the weighing scales without glass. I put this and the fact I saw about 20 different staff members in my 26 hour stay down to poor management and lack of quality control. Having said all of that, I am grateful and assume by the outcome the Theatre Team and facilities were up to scratch for Mr Oliver as i am delighted by the outcome and I'm sure time will heal the Scars left by my stay at The Nuffield Exeter.
I was so well looked after by Mr Oliver and the staff. Im very happy with the care and would definatly choose to see Mr Oliver if I wanted anything else cosmetic.

The whole process was made as easy as possible. Everyone I came into contact with were so polite and nothing was too much trouble. The RD and E staff were also brilliant and m stay there was great. A huge thank you to everyone and in particular to Mr Oliver and his team.

I understand that there is a poor success rate from men seeing Mr O initially and getting to the correct size for surgery. When I was given a target I engaged a Personal Trainer Leah Ackford at Woodbury Park. She heavily managed my change of shape doing loads of work on core muscles and diet. In my case I was not eating enough to build muscle to burn fat. She also managed my Rehab from three weeks out which I know is very early. It was very successful as I kept muscle tone and did not add weight. I would highly recommend them. Also used a manual lymphatic drainage specialist. This was very effective. I used Susan Fishwick in Budleigh. She has a Hivamat 200 machine which is very effective at clearing drainage channels. My only other observation would be the care and minimisation of the scar post op. I saw Dr Downs on another issue and he checked my scar. He recommended laser treatment that I had 7 days ago. The top layer of skin is now pealing away and looks much better. The skin bunching and connecting ridge are also subsiding. I would have liked more information on best practice in this area. Aside from that I would do it again in a heartbeat! I am happy to use my story and photos if you want to for publicity. No problem with mentioning that the problem was alcohol related, but I am not allowed to say that I am in AA. Many thanks.
I had pinnaplasty. The procedure was explained in words of one syllable from start to finish. All the staff on the day of the operation were efficient, kind and curtious. The operation it self went as described and I was "checked up on" post op with a phone call at home with the reassurance that if I had any concerns that it would be absolutely no problem to contact the Hospital ( not required in my case ). So pleased with the end result.
The only negative i would say is the fact that i had to chase up each step. I expect everyone was busy but to progress I ended up having to keep calling the secretary for info. Also the before and after photos took over 4 weeks to come following my appt with Mr Oliver...Little things but frustrating for the customer.

Did have some problems with stitches, maybe follow-up with a nurse to check all is ok would be good. Extremely pleased with the result, was not sure what to expect, look wide-awake now and not tired looking all the time. Not as painful as I expected, totally painless during the actual surgery.. Eyes more or less back to normal within 2 weeks.
Felt fully informed at all levels including risk so was able to make informed decisions. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Oliver, was very happy with my treatment.
The only problem I had was being invoiced the wrong amount by MSG due to the MSG not updating their records with a different procedure to what I had intended to have. So this was purely a communication problem between the admin departments of the two sides.
Mr Oliver and his team were excellent through the whole process, Everything was explained to me in great detail so I knew what to expect, also no question was too small and always answered. I can't thank Mr Oliver enough for the work he has done for me, it's chaned my life given me so much more confidence, after care has be brilliant also,
